Earth Hour, Alejandro Sanz, & Merge Studios

Today was truly an amazing day for us here at Merge Studios. We got to collaborate with Alejandro Sanz on an amazing project called Earth Hour. Started by the WWF, Earth Hour strives to bring everyone around the world together to help fight the cause of global warming by having as many people as possible turn off their lights for one hour on March 28, 2009 at 8pm. Over the last few weeks, different crews have been shooting various actors, musicians, & celebrities to create PSA’s to help with the cause. So when we got asked to work with this incredibly talented, 17-time grammy winning artist for this cause, we jumped on board without any hesitation. It truly was an incredible shoot and we had a blast. Be on the lookout for the spot on TV, web, and radio. We should have it up soon for everyone to enjoy!

What’s up everyone! For the last few months we have been collaborating with Twins Productions on a new reality show concept for the Opium Group. For those of you that don’t know, The Opium Group is one of the biggest and well-known club conglomerates in Miami. They have been around for over 15 years and operate 5 of the hottest clubs in South Beach. Along with Beatriz Montalvo from Twins Productions (an extremely talented producer, I must say) we worked together to put this reality show presentation together. It has truly grown into a passion project of ours and we’re looking forward to hopefully having the ability to produce into a full series. We are currently in the process of shopping the show around. But in the meantime, I would love to share it with you guys and see what you think.
